Since January, 1st 2005 French Lawyers are under the legal obligation to update their professional expertise, in compliance with a generic "duty of competence".
Requirements:
20 hours a year (January 1st-December 31st)
or
40 hours in 2 consecutive years.
1 CLE credit = 1 hour
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disciplinary proceedings.

"LEARNING BY DOING"
ECCLE's innovative training is designed to actively engage participants in simulations, oral arguments, drafting exercises, sharing of professional experiences, with a view to support their legal & business skills.
The ECCLE programs include advanced legal seminars, study visits and a summer course in legal & financial English.
Enrolment is usually limited to 25-30 participants to maximise the learning experience
